Walk day · Saturday 12 September 2026
We can't wait to see everybody at The Big Red Barn. Here's how the morning works — from the first coffee to the last walker home.
How the morning runs
The walk officially starts at 07:00. You may join at any time until 12:00, with groups heading out every 30 minutes on each route. The full presentation programme will be shared closer to the day.
The Big Red Barn food stalls open with coffee. Park, find registration and say hello.
Scan your ticket, grab your wristband, water and pre-ordered t-shirt, then follow your route's coloured signs.
Join a group on the 2.5km, 5km or 10km route. Peg a photo to the memory line before or after.
Listen to the talks on the schedule, visit the free photobooth and spend time with your people.
The route closes once the last participants have completed the walk.

Good to know
Dedicated parking close to the start and finish. Use the entrance at the Adeen flower farm or The Big Red Barn gate.
Follow the signs to the registration desk to scan your ticket. You'll get a wristband and a bottle of water, and can collect a pre-ordered t-shirt — change on site and walk in your YouMatter shirt.
Walking in honour of someone? Bring a photo (or a few) to peg to the line. You can also add them online.
Food stalls run by The Big Red Barn restaurant: coffee from 06:00, hot dogs and hamburgers. No outside food or picnic baskets on the day.
Socialised dogs on leashes are welcome. Please bring your own bags to clean up after them.
Use the bins provided. No bin in sight? Keep your waste in your drawstring bag until you find one. We're all volunteers — your help means a lot.
Photos are taken throughout the day for the website, social media and promotional material. Tag us in yours — and try the free photobooth!
Listen to the talks on the schedule and spend time with your loved ones. Partner organisations will be on site to chat.
Cashless venue. Water is provided during the walk only. Bathrooms are in the restaurant building. Medical support available. No glass or alcohol.
Please note: the organisers are volunteers and can't provide counselling or crisis intervention — but we're happy to refer you to professional support, and some partner organisations on site may be available to talk.
